Piute County Warrant Checks
Begin with the free Utah BCI warrant search. It pulls Utah court entries, so it reaches beyond Piute County. Xchange adds public District or Justice Court case files. Neither source settles a local hearing, recall, or surrender. Search the full name and birth date, add the court or citation if known, and confirm any possible match with the court before traveling or paying.
- Try BCI's official statewide search. A blank or blocked screen is not proof that no warrant exists.
- Search Xchange for Piute Justice and District Court cases.
- Call the courthouse clerk at 435-577-2840 to identify the issuing court and confirm status.
- For service questions, call the Sheriff's Office at 435-577-2893 or its alternate 435-577-2972.
- Ask a lawyer about an appearance, court-ordered bond, or recall request.
The county court page schedules appearances only, with no open court. Call ahead before driving to Junction. The Utah Statewide Warrants portal serves as the public search entry for Piute County warrant records.
Use the result to reach the right court contact. The public screen is not a Piute County clearance certificate.
Piute County Statewide Warrant File
Utah's Statewide Warrants file can hold felony, misdemeanor, infraction, and traffic failure-to-appear warrants. The BCI manual says court records flow through court systems into UCJIS. Justice Courts can feed entries through warrant-management tools. Courts supply and remove their own records; the sheriff updates service activity. The public search shows only part of the operational file. It is not a county-built database, and it publishes no Piute County refresh schedule. One person may carry more than one warrant or owe more than one court obligation. Ask which court controls each result. The BCI page describes the public offer as a free statewide warrant search, and the Piute County sheriff page posts no separate active-warrant list.
Warrants in Piute County: The Main Types
In Piute County, the court handling the case matters as much as the warrant label. A bench or failure-to-appear warrant follows a missed court duty. An arrest warrant can open a criminal case after a judge reviews it. A traffic warrant usually traces back to a citation or a missed traffic setting.
| Type | Piute County context | Who controls it |
|---|---|---|
| Arrest warrant | Probable cause plus a legal reason to use a warrant instead of a summons | Issuing District or Justice Court |
| Bench / FTA | Missed appearance, fine deadline, contempt, or failure to comply | Court that set the obligation |
| Traffic FTA | Citation, required appearance, or unresolved traffic obligation | Usually Piute County Justice Court |
| Search warrant | Judicial authority to search; not an arrest-list result | Issuing judge, with access limits |
| Federal warrant | Separate federal case system | District of Utah federal court |
Utah sources also say "warrant of arrest." Piute County publishes no capias pro fine label and no local bond schedule.
Piute County Warrant Courts Share a Clerk
The Piute County Courthouse at 550 N Main in Junction is the public contact point for both the Sixth District Court and the Piute County Justice Court. The same co-located staff serve both levels, though the files differ. District Court handles felonies and class A misdemeanors. Justice Court takes most traffic, infractions, class B and C misdemeanors, and small claims. Check the court's Sixth District Piute contact listing to verify the location. The county's own court notice adds the schedule-only appearance rule.

The Sixth District overview explains the state structure. Each record still belongs to its issuing court, even when Piute County levels share a phone.
Piute County Warrant Records: What They Show
A public court case and a statewide warrant record are related but not identical. Xchange shows public case history. The BCI manual describes operational warrant fields. Public confirmation to an identified person may be limited to the holding court, case number, and charge, so ask the Piute County clerk.
| Warrant number | A public Piute number format was not located. Ask the issuing clerk for the correct identifier. |
|---|---|
| Case and court | Xchange shows the case number, case type, county, court location, and filing date when public. |
| Charge | Law enforcement may give an identified person limited charge information under the BCI manual. |
| Status | BCI documents served, attempted, transporting, notified, reactivated, and recalled service states. |
| Bond | No Piute amount or local payment method was published in the sources reviewed. |
The Piute County clerk supplies the actual case identifier; public pages carry no sample person data.
Piute County Warrant Caseload Context
Utah Courts published a Piute Justice Court caseload report dated January 2, 2026. It counts pending cases by category only. Warrants are not part of the count, and it cannot tell whether any one person has an active warrant in Piute County.
These are pending-case figures, not an outstanding-warrant total. Piute County publishes no active-warrant count. The Utah Courts quarterly report is the source for the figures. The Piute County statistics page offers local context, not a warrant list.
City cards use Census 2020 place counts, not the county page's separate population estimates.
Piute County Warrants: Who Issues, Who Serves
Judges issue warrants. The local sheriff and other peace officers with jurisdiction serve them. Court staff enter and recall the court record, and the BCI manual assigns service updates to law enforcement. Calling the sheriff never replaces the issuing court's control over a Piute County case. The Sheriff page lists office contacts but posts no public warrant roster.
The Piute County office lists 550 N Main, Junction, 435-577-2893, an alternate 435-577-2972, and fax 435-577-2894. Call 911 only for emergencies.

Piute County Recall and Service Timing
The December 2025 BCI manual says a recalled warrant should leave UCJIS about an hour after the court entry. A served warrant may linger about 15 days unless recalled. Those are statewide timings, and they do not promise when a public screen updates. Ask the clerk when the order was entered and when to check again. Courthouse access can shift, so follow the court's current notice. A June 2026 fire-related notice temporarily suspended court operations in Piute County and pointed the public to court announcements. The Utah Courts notice archive is one example of an operational change worth verifying before any trip.
That Piute County notice covered temporary power loss, not a warrant amnesty or any change to the court's warrant rules.
Handling a Warrant in Piute County
First find out which court issued the warrant. Then ask the clerk about the case, the charge, the next setting, the bond amount, and what step will change the warrant. Piute County publishes no bond schedule. There is no walk-in surrender window either, and no motion-to-recall form specific to Piute County.
- Speak with a Utah lawyer about the case and the safest way to appear.
- Call the clerk before traveling; the court has no open court and schedules appearances.
- Ask whether a new hearing, payment, bond, or written motion is required.
- Call the sheriff for service, surrender, or booking instructions. Do not assume a walk-in process.
- After the court acts, ask when the state entry should update and recheck with the court.
Posting bond in Piute County secures your appearance but does not end the case, and a recall changes the warrant's status only.
Before acting: Ask a lawyer about the warrant and confirm the court's instructions first; the county does not publish a walk-in surrender or bond-payment process.
Piute County Bond Details Are Not Published
Piute County publishes no bond amount. Its official pages skip the payment window, the booking location, accepted payment types, and any voluntary surrender program too. Ask the issuing clerk for the figure. Also ask whether paying it lifts the warrant or just secures release. Ask the sheriff where booking would happen. The Piute court contact page gives the courthouse route. Sheriff numbers are contact points only, not proof a counter is open or that bond can be paid there. Written record access is a separate matter. The Utah Request for a Record form covers a specific file, and it is not a warrant-resolution application.
Warrant Record Access Under Utah Law
Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act sets the general public-record rule. Court records follow Judicial Council access rules instead. So a public case summary does not make every warrant document public. The Piute County court can explain which class applies and what written request to use.
Key rules:
Utah Code §63G-2-201 starts with a public-record presumption, subject to statutory limits.
Utah Code §53-10-208 defines the statewide warrant system's coverage and assigns system duties.
UCJA Rule 4-202.04 directs written court-record requests to the clerk and sets a path for authorized non-public access.
Piute County Warrant Access Has Limits
Xchange leaves out sealed, expunged, and juvenile matters. A public case can still hold restricted documents. A blank screen may just reflect search or update limits. Don't treat a miss as clearance. The Utah Courts non-public-record page explains how juvenile and sealed-record limits work. Filing a written request does not override those rules. On a record request, the court usually answers within ten business days; inspection is free, though copies and staff time can carry listed fees. That official access page is why a public case search and a restricted court file are two different things.
Ask the Piute County clerk which part of a file can be shared and whether you need authorization or identification first.
City Warrant Records in Piute County
The Census 2020 incorporated-place table lists four towns in Piute County, not five. None runs a public police warrant portal. City ordinance or traffic questions still go to the issuing court. County and state checks follow the route described above.
Circleville Warrant Records
550 residents, 2020 Census. Town contact is not a warrant line.
Marysvale Warrant Records
356 residents, 2020 Census. The community building is not a court.
Junction Warrant Records
212 residents, 2020 Census. The county courthouse is in Junction.
Kingston Warrant Records
135 residents, 2020 Census. The public-body phone is not a warrant desk.
Each of the four Piute County towns has its own page. Check yours before contacting any office.
Four Piute County Towns, One Warrant Route
Circleville leads the county by 2020 Census count. Marysvale comes next, then Junction and Kingston. Junction, the county seat, holds the shared court contact at 550 N Main. A town clerk handles civic questions, not warrants. The warrant path in Piute County runs through BCI, Xchange, the courthouse clerk, and the sheriff. If a city citation shows up in Xchange, ask the courthouse which court controls it. Those counts are Census 2020.
